Today we will spend the morning birding the grounds of the hotel. Located in a low-pass between two major peaks on the lower slopes of the Tenorio Volcano, Las Heliconias offers an exciting combination of foothill birding with influence from both Pacific and Caribbean avifauna. In its 180 acres private reserve, the lodge maintains about 3 miles of forest trails including 3 hanging bridges that provide access to the canopy of the forest.
